How to Embed a Form on Your Website

Add a Formet form to any website — WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, or custom HTML. Responsive and fast loading.

Before you start

  • A published Formet form
  • Access to your website HTML or CMS
1

Publish your form

Make sure your form is published. Go to your form dashboard and click Publish if it is still in draft.

2

Get the embed code

Click the "Share" or "Embed" button on your form. Copy the iframe embed snippet. It looks like: <iframe src="https://formet.in/f/your-form" ...></iframe>

3

Paste into your website

In WordPress: add a "Custom HTML" block and paste. In Wix: add an "Embed HTML" element. In Squarespace: add a "Code" block. For custom sites, paste directly into your HTML.

4

Adjust dimensions

The embed code includes width and height attributes. Set width to "100%" for full-width forms. Adjust height based on your form length — typically 600-900px works well.

5

Test on mobile

View your website on a mobile device to ensure the embedded form is responsive and usable. The form automatically adapts to the container width.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the embedded form update automatically?

Yes. Any changes you make to your form in the Formet dashboard are reflected instantly in the embedded version — no need to update the embed code.

Will it slow down my website?

No. The form loads asynchronously in an iframe, so it doesn't block your page content. It typically adds less than 200ms to page load.

Can I style the embedded form?

Yes. Customize colors, fonts, and branding in the Formet form builder. The embedded form inherits these styles automatically.

Does it work on mobile?

Yes. Embedded forms are fully responsive and touch-friendly on all devices.
