How to Collect Payments Through Online Forms

Before you start
- A free Formet account
- A PhonePe business account (for Indian payments)
Create your form
Start with a blank form or use the Payment Form template. Add fields for customer details like name, email, and phone number.
Add a payment field
Drag the "Payment" field type from the field panel. Set up your product or service options with prices. You can configure fixed amounts, quantity selectors, or custom amount inputs.
Connect your payment gateway
Go to Settings → Payment Gateway. Enter your PhonePe merchant credentials (Merchant ID and Salt Key). Formet charges 0% platform commission — you only pay the standard gateway processing fee.
Test a payment
Use the form preview to submit a test payment. Verify the payment appears in your PhonePe dashboard and that the customer receives a receipt email.
Go live
Publish your form and share it via link, embed, or QR code. All payments are tracked in your Formet dashboard with automatic invoice generation and GST support.

What payment methods are supported?
UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm), credit/debit cards, net banking, and digital wallets via PhonePe payment gateway.
Is there a commission on payments?
Formet charges 0% platform commission. You only pay the standard gateway processing fee charged by PhonePe (typically around 1.5-2%).
Are invoices generated automatically?
Yes. Automatic invoices with GST support are generated for every payment and emailed to customers.
Can I accept recurring payments?
Currently, Formet supports one-time payments. Recurring/subscription payments through forms are planned for a future update.
